I had a mixed experience at The Highlander Amsterdam. The trendy decor and super comfy beds were definite highlights, but the tiny room and some cleanliness issues threw me off. Also, the construction outside made getting in and out a bit of a hassle, but thankfully, the noise from it didn't bother me inside my room.

My room was stylish but extremely small, and there was a bit of a foul smell upon arrival. The bathroom design wasn't great as it lacked ventilation, which triggered the fire alarm. I really appreciated the quirky decor, but the cramped space was a downside.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I received a lovely hand-written note for New Year's and a complimentary glass of fizz, which was a nice touch. They also assisted me with luggage and offered great local tips.

I had a great time at The Highlander Amsterdam. The location is super convenient, just about 10 minutes from Centraal Station and close to tons of restaurants and shops.
